AI features: turning them on and off
The ten AI features of your account: what stays available without AI for each one, who can turn them off, and the brake YStay can apply platform-wide.
The AI features page brings together your ten AI settings, one per feature: “Each artificial intelligence feature can be turned off for your entire account. A feature that is turned off no longer sends anything to the AI provider; whatever works without AI stays available.” It opens from My account › AI features card — “Choose the AI features used by your account.” — Manage AI features button.
The ten features, and what stays available without AI
The features are grouped Short-term rental (nine features) then Long-term rental (one feature). Each row shows “Data transmitted to the provider:” above the On / Off toggle, then, once turned off, “Turned off on {date} by {name}.”
- Listing advice — turned off, the Listing score keeps being computed: it always has been, without AI. Only the AI rewording of the recommendations disappears. Details: Description, amenities and listing score.
- Reply suggestions to guests — turned off, the messaging composer stays available for a reply written by hand. Details: Replying to your guests (messaging).
- StayProof discrepancy analysis — turned off, the entry/exit comparison by finding codes stays displayed, without the AI-written summary. Details: StayProof: building and sharing the proof.
- Drafting of welcome guides — turned off, you keep writing every guidebook block by hand. Details: Creating and publishing your first guidebook.
- Translation of welcome guides — turned off, you keep translating every guidebook block by hand. Details: Creating and publishing your first guidebook.
- Drafting of the booking sites — turned off, the Constructor Agent keeps building your site from your real data, just without AI-written text. Details: Publishing your booking site (and your domain).
- Translation of the booking sites — turned off, you keep translating your site by hand. Details: Publishing your booking site (and your domain).
- Assistance with declaring a dispute — turned off, Write manually stays the normal way to prepare your dispute statement. Details: Incidents and disputes.
- Draft stay contract — turned off, the Studio, the field catalog and the mention check stay usable to put your template together by hand. Details: Creating and publishing a contract template.
Long-term rental: Application file analysis — not offered by YStay at this time. This feature has no AI mechanism to describe; a file is still analyzed by rules.
What you see on a screen affected by a feature that is off
On the screen where it applies, a feature that is turned off shows “This AI feature is turned off for your account.”, and only you, as the account holder, then see the Turn back on in AI features link that brings you back to this page. A team member reads “Only the account holder can turn it back on.” instead.
The YStay brake
YStay can suspend a feature platform-wide — a provider incident, a legal concern — without touching your own setting. The feature then carries the Suspended by YStay badge, and the screen concerned shows “This AI feature is temporarily suspended by YStay.”, with no reason given. Your own setting stays recorded as it is: if you had left it on, it starts working again by itself as soon as YStay lifts the brake.
What turning a feature off does not change
- What has already been sent to the provider follows its own retention period (up to 30 days at Anthropic): turning a feature off does not erase anything retroactively.
- It is not a new version of a contractual document: your Data Processing Agreement does not change because you turned a feature off.
- The switch is immediate: anything already queued at the moment you turn the feature off stops before it is sent, without using up quota or triggering a notification.
